If someone has posted an intimate image of you on phonebook.directory without your consent, whether it is real or was made or altered with software or AI, we will remove it. You do not need an account.
Use the form below, or email takedown@phonebook.directory. Your request needs four things: your signature (typing your full name is enough); a link to the listing, or enough description for us to find the image; a short statement that you believe in good faith the image was shared without your consent; and a way to reach you. Please do not send us the image.
Someone you have authorized, such as a lawyer, a parent or guardian, or an advocate, can send the request for you.
We remove the image as soon as possible, and always within 48 hours of a complete request. We also find and remove identical copies elsewhere on the site, and keep a fingerprint of the image (a short code it cannot be rebuilt from) so the same image cannot be posted here again.
Each request gets a reference number, and we tell you what we did. If a request is missing something, we tell you what, and the 48 hours start once we have it.
The person who posted the image is told that it was removed, never who asked.
If the image shows someone under 18, we also report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as the law requires. To help keep an image off other sites too, you can use NCMEC's Take It Down service (takeitdown.ncmec.org) if you were under 18 when it was taken, or StopNCII.org if you were an adult.
We do this under the TAKE IT DOWN Act (47 U.S.C. § 223a). For anything else on a listing, use Report on that listing, or write to takedown@phonebook.directory.
