The short version:
phonebook.directory verification codes are sent by Phonebook Directory LLC, which operates phonebook.directory. We send a text containing a one-time code when you:
That is the complete list. We do not send marketing, promotional, or reminder texts, and we never text a number that has not just asked for a code.
One message each time you ask for a code. If you ask for a new code, that is one more message.
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. We do not charge for these texts.
Reply STOP to any message from us. You will receive one confirmation and no further texts. Reply START to receive codes again. If you no longer have our texts, send START to (330) 771-9474, the number they come from.
While texts are stopped, we cannot send you codes. Signing up and changing the phone number on an account both require a code, so neither can be completed until you reply START. If you already have an account, you can still sign in with your email address and password, unless you have turned on two-step sign-in, which needs a code too: reply START first.
Reply HELP to any message from us, email support@phonebook.directory, or visit phonebook.directory/help.
Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages. Codes can be sent only to mobile numbers in the United States and Canada.
Your mobile number and your consent to receive these texts are not shared with, sold to, or used by any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. Our text-message provider, Twilio, receives your number only to deliver the code. The Privacy Policy covers everything else we hold and why.
phonebook.directory is in beta. These documents will change before general availability, and we will tell you when they do rather than changing them quietly; see the section on changes.
